Laura Preece
Strategic Digital Marketing and Brand Manager , Ramblers
With a background in digital marketing in the private sector, but a passion for making a real difference in the world, Laura made the move to the charity sector in 2013. In her first charity role at the RSPCA, she led on a new approach to integrating digital fundraising throughout the RSPCA fundraising activity portfolio, moving away from digital being a last minute tactical add-on, and instead being planned into each individual team's strategy via the Owned, Bought, Earned structure.
Following this stint in the animal welfare sector, she moved on to The Royal British Legion where she was responsible for the digital fundraising strategy, and then for the email marketing strategy. Whilst there she led on a project to relaunch the Tribute Funds website, aimed at generating income via supporters setting up funds in memory of loved ones. After a 10 month contract overseeing digital acquisition activity at Anthony Nolan, Laura headed up the new Digital Fundraising function at Age UK where she onboarded a new digital agency for fundraising, oversaw the design and implementation of digital projects, and advised teams on how to use digital to support their strategies and objectives.
