Works4U

Not-for-profit Works4U has had a barnstorming year of progress, transforming into a national organisation through picking up the mantle of developing employee volunteering in the UK and running with it. Its work in this previously under-developed area is a substantial breakthrough, helping to increase the level and impact of employee volunteering.

It took this bold and monumental step with no assigned funding and scarce resources because it recognises the untapped potential of employee volunteering in the UK. Despite these huge barriers it has made significant real progress and impact through: - Set up and delivers a national Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV) Network for the voluntary and community sector to share information, best practice, tools as well as expert workshops - Pioneering national research (UK Employee Volunteering 2022-23, Monetary Value of Trustees) - Resources and guides for businesses (e.g. 9 Expert Tips for Developing an Employee Volunteering Programme) - Leading on the development of the London Vision for Volunteering - Developing and launching new volunteering quality standards, including the world’s first dedicated employee volunteering quality standard (LVO & EVA)
