Spot the Stop – Test for Tay-Sachs

Verve Marketing London and Cure and Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation

Tay-Sachs is a rare neurological condition that mainly affects very young children, causing them to slowly lose the ability to function independently. There is currently no cure, but earlier diagnosis can have significant benefits.

In 2011, the Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation was set up to provide much needed support to families affected by Tay-Sachs. As well as raising awareness and funds, we advocate for early possible diagnosis.

Verve in partnership with Four agency developed a creative and strategy campaign on an entirely pro-bono basis.

The "Spot the Stop" campaign, aimed to bring disease awareness and positive behaviour change to healthcare professional (HCP) audiences by explaining the symptoms of Tay-Sachs disease, how easy it is to test, and how early detection can make such a difference to both the patient and family.

Over 61.000 medical professionals were targeted, including GPs, Paediatricians, Ophthalmologists, Opticians, Health Visitors, and Independent Nurses.

In the first three months, the campaign generated over 5 million impressions (across banners, emails sent, and printed materials circulated), over 625k clicks and 83% viewability! The CTR of 12.5% is 12x the industry average!
