Sicker than the Patients

'Sicker than the Patients' is a powerful two-minute film shown on TV, cinema and social media platforms which starkly exposes the mental health crisis gripping NHS staff where around one in three frontline workers suffer from poor mental health and one in four have considered suicide. The film uses simulated CCTV footage based on real-type experiences of staff breaking down whilst at work, and aims to shed light on the alarming reality that, in many cases, NHS staff are facing more significant mental health challenges than the patients they care for.

After working with the UK's NHS and frontline workers for over four years it was apparent that many outside of the community understood the daily pressures of the different roles and the human behind the uniform. We wanted to raise awareness and highlight the impact of the roles that often get overlooked. Our main question to the viewer was have you ever considered who helps the helpers?
