SafeLives Pioneers

We are SafeLives, the UK-wide charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for everyone and for good. The voices of our Pioneers and survivors are at the heart of all we do. This group of experts by experience, supported by our Authentic Voice team, came together because they want to use their experiences and their passion to change the world. They have shown enormous bravery in volunteering their time, creativity and energy to transform the response to abuse. Their work in the past year has touched the lives of countless survivors across the UK and beyond, letting them know that, despite the lockdowns and isolation, they are not alone. We know that our Pioneers do not volunteer in expectation of any recognition or reward, other than knowing they are making a difference. But we want to publicly thank them. Winning this award would support their goal in raising awareness of abuse, showing that survivors are not defined by their experiences and that there is hope for a fulfilling life after abuse.
