Rosa McGregor

Rosa was one of the founding members of the charity The Listening Place (TLP). She joined TLP at 80 years of age and has not looked back. Over eight years, Rosa has provided support to hundreds of people struggling with suicidal feelings as well as helping TLP train and recruit new volunteers. She is an inspiration who truly embodies our values as a charity, in particular she is resolute and courageous. Even through Covid and her own health challenges, Rosa has not shied away from her weekly shift as a listening volunteer and she is the first to step forward when appointments need cover. She is a genuinely selfless person who has set the tone for our charity and how hundreds of volunteers at TLP conduct themselves.

Rosa has never asked for recognition and is happiest supporting and celebrating other volunteers but we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge her outstanding commitment to our charity.
