Rise, The Talent Foundry

The Talent Foundry

Your socioeconomic background, your hometown and your network all factor in your chances of a successful future.

For young people growing up in underserved communities and attending the schools we support, the opportunity to have a different future to their parents is almost out of reach. These inequalities cannot be solved by educators alone which is why we connect schools and employers to improve social mobility.

Since 2021, The Talent Foundry has worked in partnership with ICAEW and several other employers to develop and deliver the Rise initiative.

Rise is a unique corporate partnership collaboration, connecting volunteers from 30+ professional services firms and businesses to support young people (14-16 year olds) in areas of high deprivation to develop essential skills and how they relate to careers in the sector.

The free programme is delivered through educational workshops developed and facilitated by our team and supported by industry volunteers.

Our three-year partnership has helped 19,000 young people in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities from Aberdeen to Barnstaple.

From Jun 23 – May 24, with ongoing support of Rise partners we have supported over 12,800 young people.
