Despite all the challenges of recent years, including staff shortages, increased demand for care, a UK-wide hospice funding crisis, not to mention a pandemic, Rowcroft Hospice’s team goes above and beyond every day to support people facing the hardest times imaginable. Delivering specialist palliative and end-of-life care to 2,500 people annually, Rowcroft’s diverse team ensures that patients with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon receive the very best level of care and comfort.

By asking ‘What’s important to you?’, the team goes beyond the traditional model of caring. They celebrate lives, put patients and their loved ones in control of their care, and support families to make the most of every precious moment. Their inclusive approach is at the heart of everything they do, ensuring that all feel welcomed, safe and nurtured in their hands. As well as spearheading a pioneering strategy for dementia care in Devon, the hospice team is at the forefront of developing innovative technology to drive improvements in care that can be replicated nationwide.
