Judi Rhys

Since her appointment in May 2019, Judi has shown exceptional leadership, not just within Tenovus Cancer Care, but also across the cancer community. Her creativity, conviction, fearless but compassionate leadership has been inspirational and has led to transformational change at Tenovus Cancer Care, and some truly groundbreaking innovations and achievements. Judi’s collaborative style has enabled breakthroughs of high significance, by acting as the catalyst to get the right people around the table in order to tackle long standing ‘wicked’ issues. She is an outstanding chief executive, who has won the hearts and minds of those she leads and influences, while also providing hope, support and advocacy for the thousands of people with cancer and their loved ones who have been so adversely affected by the impact of the pandemic. Judi was extremely calm, supportive, and focussed during the exceptional circumstances of the past year. She is a true leader, responsive and directive in equal measure, proactive, thoughtful and determined. Judi was awarded MBE in the 2021 New Year Honours list for her services to the voluntary sector in health and social care, validating her incredible commitment and tireless pursuit of better outcomes for people affected by cancer in the community.
