As a leader Jane ensures ensure her team's passion for their work is maintained, supplemented with the appropriate training and development.

Her leadership has been recognised externally. In 2018 the Institute of Directors for the East of England, named her as Director of the Year in the 'Public/Third Sector' category. In 2020 Jane will receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Essex, which described her dedication as 'truly inspiring'.

The chair of the charity Air Ambulances UK (AAUK), which Jane served as a director and trustee for many years, recently said that her energy and vision had been central to the transformation of AAUK into a thriving national charity.

During Jane's tenure, EHAAT has developed the service it provides to a level that would have been unimaginable when she began. She would be a worthy recipient of this award.
