Jamming in the New Forest

The Real Jam & Chutney manufacturing company has been running for 12 months (at the time of writing) and is already a success in several ways. Our newest social enterprise, like any other business, seeks to make a profit and succeed commercially, but how we operate, who we employ, how we use our profits and where we work is quite unique. Our Day Instructors, Katie and Elizabeth have helped deliver over 4000 hours of training in this period and supported over 20 people with learning disabilities by teaching life-skills and nurturing their potential. People like Iesha, Henry and David attend the manufacturing process and thoroughly enjoy working to meet the demanding orders. We are helping them to achieve their aspirations; we are transforming lives by building confidence and involving them in business decisions.
