Felix's Kitchen Team
The Felix Project
The Felix Project believes in a vision of London where no-one goes hungry and good food is never wasted. In 2023, at a time when a cost-of-living crisis meant that many people couldn’t afford to feed their families, the Felix project redistributed the equivalent of 32 million meals across London. A key part of this operation is Felix’s Kitchen which currently cooks and packs over 4,000 nutritious meals a day, six days a week.
The dedicated team of chefs, porters and packers use good quality, surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, to produce and pack healthy, nutritious and delicious meals for community organisations to share with local Londoners. In 2023, as well as producing a massive 1,114,234 meals for local communities in need, the kitchen team also supported the completion of Felix’s first ever employability programme. This resulted in three local young people, who might otherwise have continued to be unemployed, stay on to work as part of the kitchen team.
