EACH Retail

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. We rely on donations for the majority of our income and need to raise £5.5 million from fundraising and £5.4 million from our shops every year. Our thriving Retail sector is an essential funding stream to keep our care services running.

We have expanded our Retail operation significantly, which has grown from 14 shops in 2014 to 43 in 2021 across East Anglia. In 2019, EACH was recorded as the second-fastest growing retailer in the annual Charity Shops Survey.

The income we have received has seen a highly impressive increase year-on-year since 2014. Profit from our shops is now 2.5 times higher. Turnover from EACH retail in 2014/15 was £1,954,775 with the most recent figure from 2019/20 £4,932,805. This increase demonstrates the progressive nature of our retail offer.

As well as increasing income and physical shops we have focused on growing our online presence. EACH has a thriving eBay store which has seen a threefold increase in income since its launch in 2016. More recently we launched successful shops on Amazon Market Place and ASOS Market Place.
