Dr Mounir Hakimi

Dr Mounir Hakimi, born in England, and raised in Syria, has dedicated his life to supporting humanitarian causes. As a medical doctor, Mounir founded Action For Humanity (previously Syria Relief) in 2012, seeking to leverage his expertise to save the lives of those who had been caught up in devastating conflict in his adopted home.

Through Dr Mounir’s championship, Action For Humanity has grown from a single-crisis response initiative, to a global humanitarian powerhouse that reaches 8 people every minute and has served more than 15 million people worldwide.

From frontline surgical interventions, to CEO support, Dr Mounir has made himself familiar with every aspect of the charity, ensuring that he has a keen understanding of the challenges of his colleagues, and the needs of our beneficiaries.
