Code Hub Team
Ignite Hubs
Ignite Hubs is an education charity for children and young people. We teach digital skills that matter in the real world, preparing them for future employment and inspiring them to think about different career possibilities in Tech and STEM. We strive to deliver the best learning environment for children and young people, particularly, those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Code Hub team delivers seven classes each week for free to help children and young people learn how to code. The team is made of 20 volunteers from different backgrounds and ages and together they have devised the curriculum and created learning resources to make learning more fun and engaging. Each year, they have strived to improve and to do more. In the early days of 2019, eight children were taught Scratch once a week and fast forward to today, the team now teach over 100 children and young people a week and covers HTML/CSS, Scratch, Python, and Data Science at different levels and delivers seven classes across four evenings a week. To date, more than 400 children and young people have been impacted and they consistently achieve satisfaction ratings of over 90% each term.
