Christina Adane
Bite Back 2030
Christina Adane leads Bite Back 2030's Youth Board with a wisdom and maturity well beyond her 17 years. She has campaigned tirelessly for food equality and for changes to the system that will mean all young people have the option of healthy nutritious meals, everyday. She began the campaign to see Free School Meal support extended through lockdown, garnering 450k signatures on her petition; that campaign was later picked up by Marcus Rashford.
Last year the BBC named Christina among their 100 Most Influential Women of 2020 and she was one of the first guests to be invited to contribute to Harry and Meghan's inaugural Spotify pod cast. Christina has spoken out about food inequality on a national stage, including the BBC, ITV, and the Telegraph, and recently gave a TEDex Talk on growing up in a food desert, a place flooded with junk food and just a trickle of healthy options.
Christina has informed and inspired adults and young people alike, all the while juggling her school work and volunteering activities in her local community. Her energy, passion, knowledge and commitment deserve to be rewarded!
