Caroline O'Connor

At Migrant Help, we support those affected by displacement and exploitation, helping them recover and thrive. Our services include asylum support, aid for trafficking and slavery victims, refugee resettlement, and the EU Settlement Scheme. Caroline joined as COO in 2017 and became CEO in 2020. She guided the organisation through the pandemic, growing it from £9m in 2017 to £43m in 2022/23. Caroline established a transparent and value-driven Senior Management Team and initiated staff Q&A sessions for open communication. Under her leadership, we launched the 'Great Place to Work' employee strategy, delivering 14,593 hours of training in 2022/23, and our first co-designed strategy with clients in January 2024. In 2023, our 60th Anniversary, we achieved significant awareness-raising milestones, reaching 4.8 billion people. Our impact report showed we supported over 100,000 clients. Caroline’s compassionate leadership and dedication to our values make her an outstanding CEO deserving of this award.
