Board of Directors

Student MedAid London (SMAL) is a student-led non-profit Community Interest Company established in 2022, with the aim to “create a world with fair and equitable access to healthcare and healthcare resources; and for future healthcare professionals and the general public to have an awareness, motivation and ability to have a positive impact on global health and sustainability.” To achieve this, SMAL coordinates the redistribution of excess medical supplies to individuals, communities or places in need by organising projects that link prospective donating organisations with receiving organisations, while also providing education and raising awareness on important global and sustainable health topics. All of this work is led by a Board of Directors made up of volunteers who are students and early career professionals. They lead our various teams of volunteers – Resource, Communications, Publicity, Research and Finance.
