In 2021 we took a hard honest look at ourselves as an organisation and realised that if we wanted a world where dementia no longer devastates lives, we had to make fundamental changes to our brand. We rebranded Alzheimer’s Society to put dementia front and centre of people’s minds so they would recognise us as the UK’s leading dementia charity – the experts who give help and hope to everyone living with dementia now and in the future. We involved teams across the Society including people affected by dementia, worked with multiple agency teams, and invested our most significant media spend on our launch campaign. And we’ve seen incredible results ever since. More people not only recognise our brand and know more about what we do, but come to us for help and support, and check their symptoms on our website. We also saw more people giving their support to help beat dementia, the UKs biggest killer - giving us a record-breaking year with a fundraising income topping over £100 million in 2023/2024.
