Alternative Futures Group: investing in our people

Alternative Futures Group (AFG) supports over 800 people with a learning disability or mental health condition across the Northwest in community outreach and hospital settings.

In the face of ongoing challenges with the cost-of-living crisis and the recruitment and retention of frontline social care staff, Alternative Futures Group has for the second year running made a historical investment in our people to continue to be a real living wage employer with an investment of £4.6m.

This latest pay rise is in addition to a £3.6m living wage increase the charity made last year, with total investment standing at £7.9m.

Due to our approach, we have also been able to invest over £140,000 in the AFG employee experience and embedding equality, diversity and inclusion across our organisation.
