The P&P team at ActionAid is a dynamic, ambitious group of outstanding individuals that has grown income from £3.5m in 2017 to £7m in 2019 and then £8m in 2020 despite the challenges of the pandemic. The team combines traditional fundraising methods with an exciting, collaborative and innovative approach across Trusts, HNWI, Private Sector Partnership and Principal Gifts. The main remit is the UK but, taking a global approach, the team also raises funds from the Gulf, Asia and European countries. This has significantly uplifted the scale of ambition and technical excellence - across the world they are supporting 7 and 8 figure bid development that will transform the lives of women and girls living in poverty. The focus of the team is restricted and strategic funding; the work we do and the way in which it is done paramount. Accordingly this is underpinned with an amazing culture of empowerment, promoting feminist leadership and driving forward an anti-racist, de-colonisation and feminist philanthropy agenda.
